Supernote Manta planner 2027: full-screen 3:4 layout and the free sample

The Supernote Manta has a 10.7 inch screen in the classic 3:4 shape, so the right planner fills it from edge to edge, with no bars and no scaling tricks. This article covers what full-screen means on the Manta, where to put a 2027 PDF planner, how links behave with the pen and the finger, and how to test the free sample before you buy.

The Manta screen and the Large 3:4 page

The Manta's screen is 10.7 inches, 1920 by 2560 pixels at 300 pixels per inch, according to Supernote's product comparison. That is a 3:4 portrait shape, the same as the Large 3:4 layout, so a Large page fills the screen top to bottom and side to side.

The page is drawn for a 10.3 inch screen, so on the Manta it is shown about 4 percent bigger. Text, rows and buttons come out at their design size or slightly above it, never smaller: no link is smaller than 3.5 mm, and navigation buttons are at least 6 mm.

What a full-year Manta file holds

The Supernote edition comes as two zip files, one per model. The Manta zip holds 6 PDFs in the Large 3:4 layout: three calendar editions, each right- and left-handed. Each file has 639 pages from 1 October 2026 to 31 December 2027 and is about 2 MB.

MyStyle or Document

A PDF on the Manta has two possible homes, and the folder decides how it behaves.

  • Document folder. The planner opens as a PDF document, exactly as drawn, and stays one file you can copy back to a computer at any time. You write with the pen on every page.
  • MyStyle folder. The PDF becomes material for note templates. Supernote's Use PDFs as Templates article explains how to apply its pages, and says a PDF cannot be the default template for new notebooks. A Nomad owner reported that on the current stable software a planner copied into MyStyle is imported as a note template with working links. That is an owner's report on the smaller model, not a documented feature, so try it with the sample first.

For a dated planner of 639 pages, the Document folder is the simple choice. The longer comparison is in Supernote templates: PDF planners on the Manta and Nomad.

Links with the finger or the pen

In a PDF document, links respond to a finger tap. You can also tap them with the pen once you select the text-selection tool on the toolbar: Supernote fixed pen taps on links in software 3.23.32, released in March 2025. With the pen tool active, a pen tap writes.

The toolbar can sit on either side of the screen. Put it on the side away from the month tabs: in Graphite files that strip never has anything to tap, and the left-handed files swap sides.

The Manta has no front light, so it reads best in daylight or under a lamp.

Copying the file

  1. Download the Supernote edition and unzip the Manta zip.
  2. Copy one PDF to the Manta by USB, with the Supernote Partner app or through Supernote Cloud.
  3. Put it in the Document folder, or in MyStyle if you want note templates.

Test the free sample in three taps

  1. On the Index, tap Oct 2026. The month page should open and fill the screen.
  2. On the month, tap 15. The page for Thursday 15 October should open.
  3. On the day page, tap Index in the top bar. You should be back where you started.

Check that there are no bars around the page, then write a line with the pen. If you also own a Nomad, its file is the Compact 3:4 layout; Supernote Nomad planner and templates explains why.

Troubleshooting

The pen draws on the buttons.
Tap with a finger. In a PDF document you can also select the text-selection tool and tap with the pen.
There are white bars around the page.
The file was drawn for another screen. Use a Large 3:4 file from the Manta zip.

Frequently asked questions

Which planner layout fills the Supernote Manta screen?
Large 3:4. The 10.7 inch screen is 3:4, so a Large page fills it edge to edge with no bars.
Should I put the planner in MyStyle or Document?
Document keeps the planner one PDF exactly as designed, with links that work with a finger, or with the pen and the text-selection tool. MyStyle turns the pages into note templates; test that with the sample first.
Can a PDF be my default Supernote template?
No. Supernote's help says using a PDF as the default template is not supported, because it might slow down the creation of new notebooks.
